Byelection Oct 25: <\/strong>Let\u2019s choose a councillor who puts community first<\/strong>!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Township of Langley is holding a byelection. On October 25<\/strong>, we will choose a new councillor to represent our voices and act in the best interests of the Township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why Vote for Me<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

My Priorities:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Sustainable growth today for a better tomorrow.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Scooter safety bylaws to protect riders and pedestrians.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Investing in recreation including a new swimming pool, to bring families together and strengthen neighbourhoods.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Embedding animal welfare into community policies: supporting spay\/neuter clinics,fostering programs, and emergency planning for pets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    My Promise to You:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    • Collaboration:<\/strong> I will work with everyone for solutions that serve Langley.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Independence:<\/strong> I am not tied to party politics or old divisions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Respect:<\/strong> Different perspectives make us stronger; I will always listen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      I am not a career politician \u2014 and I believe that is exactly what makes me the right choice for this by-election. When I walk into a meeting, I don\u2019t bring political baggage, alliances, or old divisions. No one can say \u201cshe\u2019s with this group\u201d or \u201cshe\u2019s against that one.\u201d I come with an open mind, an open heart, and mutual respect for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      I believe leadership starts with the ability to listen, speak clearly, and connect with anyone. I make the effort to reach out because I believe we have to try \u2014 otherwise, we\u2019ll never know what\u2019s possible. That\u2019s how I build relationships and bring people together, even when perspectives differ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Every leader is capable of doing good \u2014 and of making mistakes. What matters is being willing to admit when something doesn\u2019t work, recalibrate, and do better for the community. That\u2019s the approach I promise to bring — humility, honesty, and a genuine focus on serving people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      I want to help start a movement where those who step forward to lead are people who do what they say \u2014 not just talk. My disagreements with others never stop me from working respectfully and finding common ground. Yes, we all have egos, but I\u2019ve learned to keep mine in check \u2014 and I promise, if ever I can\u2019t, that will be the day I step down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      I\u2019m asking for your vote because I bring a fresh perspective, rooted in lived experience, community service, and the everyday challenges of being a mother and neighbour. I want to see a Township where words are matched by action, where collaboration replaces division, and where we work together for a thriving future.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
